I have volunteered to bake a pie for a pot luck lunch tomorrow in my department. I'm thinking apple because apples are pretty much always in season. I will not make pecan, pumpkin or sweet potato because I think they are gross.
Anyone have any suggestions for another type of pie I should make?

A tart rather than sweet cherry or blueberry pie would be nice. Or a peach pie, although I think fresh peaches would be better & they are kind of out of season.
How about a mockingbird pie? Or a meat pie? Yeah...MEAT pie is the winner.

Thought about cherry, but that sounded too sweet... so I'm sticking with my original. I'll try to save you a slice if you come by.
